On June 19th, we resume returns and borrowing of books at the Collegium Civitas Library.

We invite you to a specially prepared secure library desk, set up at the entrance to the Library in room 1106. Here you can return and borrow books. Note – lending books will be available from June 19th to July 3rd! The reading room remains closed until further notice.

Return and lending – shifts in the library from 19 June to 3 July (vacation shifts for book returns will be announced at a later date):
Mondays 12:00-17:00
Wednesdays 10:30-14:30
Fridays 8:00-13:00

Return – shifts at reception 12 floor:
Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:30-14:30

If you want to return books at the library or at the reception desk or if you want to borrow books at the library, please contact the following address: to arrange an appointment and order books for rent (we want to prevent queues).

Please remember that only people wearing masks and gloves will be served!



We would like to remind you that the stationary offices of Collegium Civitas administration departments WILL STAY CLOSED. Administrative staff work remotely and the ONLY form of communication with the university administration is by phone or e-mail! We ask you to limit the time you spend in the building.


Note: Library penalties are suspended until the library resumes.

If you are interested in getting access to EBSCO and JSTOR databases from home, please contact the library staff.
If you want to obtain materials from other scientific databases (see scientific databases at the bottom of this page), please contact the library employees.

We recommend and encourage you to use the databases operating in the open access model (free access to sources of knowledge, books, audiobooks and scientific articles).


At Collegium Civitas Reading Hall and Library (the Palace of Culture and Science, XI floor) the students have access to course books and obligatory readings for classes, seminars and exams. The university is subscribed to daily press as well as to multiple magazines in the Polish and English languages.
