Specialities for the media: sociology, media studies.
Her research focuses on media systems in post-Communist Europe and Eurasia, media transformations in hybrid regimes, media and democracy, new media, political and international communication. 

Sociologist and media studies scholar. Graduate of the Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences (joint program with Manchester University). Doctoral degree in sociology from the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Visiting Professor at the Collegium Civitas, Warsaw (Poland) (currently). Lecturer at the Institute of Political Sciences the Polish Academy of Sciences (PhD Program) (2014), the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PhD Program) (2013-2014). Grant holder of the Central European University in Budapest. Member of the European Studies Unit at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of Polish Academy of Sciences. Her papers are published in Problems of Post-Communism, Global Media Journal, Polish Sociological Review, Central European Journal of Communication. Her research focuses on media systems in post-Communist Europe and Eurasia, media transformations in hybrid regimes, media and democracy, new media, political and international communication. Hobbies: sport, reading, travelling (great fan of landscape parks).
