Wykład pod tytułem: “Gastronomy in Public and Cultural Diplomacy: A practitioners guide.”

Odbędzie się w siedzibie Collegium Civitas, w Auli A (12 piętro, Pałac Kultury i Nauki), we wtorek 18 października o godzinie 12:00. Wykład otwarty odbędzie się w języku angielskim.

Magdalena Tomaszewska-Bolałek, Ph.D. — orientalist, culinary blogger, author of the following books: „Japanese Culinary Traditions”, „Japanese Sweets” (Grand Prix in the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2014 in category Japanese Cuisine), „Culinary Traditions of Korea” (2nd place in the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2016 in category Best Asian Cookbook outside Asia) and “Polish Culinary Paths”. The author researches the history of world cuisines, food anthropology, neurogastronomy, food design, food diplomacy and food tourism. She has been popularising food culture through meetings, lectures and cooking workshops. She is the head and the author of postgraduate Food Studies on the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw.

Mrs. Anna Tryc-Bromley – Having produced hundreds of cultural programmes as the founding-director of the Polish Cultural Institute in Delhi, and Deputy Director in London, Ania is one of Poland’s most experienced and dynamic cultural programmers. As a chairperson for EUNIC (EU national Institutes for Culture) for South Asia, Ania also possesses a deep understanding of how national cultural institutes function together with EU initiatives. With international collaborations with many of the world’s most recognised institutions and talents throughout South Asia and in Europe, Ania possesses a treasure trove of practical knowledge in the field of Public and Cultural Diplomacy.

Mr. Ryan Bromley – International food scholar and chef who has conducted pioneering research with many of the world’s leading institutions and professionals in the areas of science, cognitive studies, gastronomy and contemporary art. Currently defending his doctoral thesis in the role of the chemical senses in contemporary art, Ryan has lived and worked abroad for over ten years with the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, engaged with the political, economic and cultural programmes of Poland’s embassy, as well as the promotion of Polish food abroad. Ryan completed his MSc. Food Policy at City University’s distinguished Centre for Food Policy and interned with the United Nation’s World Food Program in their Rome headquarters.
