One Semester Abroad

ONE SEMESTER ABROAD PROGRAM
FOR INDIVIDUAL STUDENTS, PHD RESEARCHERS, AND COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY GROUPS

Each term Collegium Civitas welcomes visiting students for a semester. The One Semester Abroad Program at Collegium Civitas provides a valuable learning and life experience. Students may come either individually or as participants of a larger group from a particular college or university. PhD students may intend to spend a semester at Collegium Civitas in order to conduct their research and attend courses of their interest.

The Students participating in this Program will be registered as non-degree students and will be entitled to enrol on any course from the curriculum including language courses. While reasonable efforts are made to ensure that the One Semester Abroad Students choose courses that will help them reach their academic goals, the ultimate responsibility for these choices rests with the students alone.

Usually the specialisation courses at the Departments of International Relations and the Political Science and the elective courses are of main interest to the One Semester Abroad Students. The non-degree students are also well aware that the courses focusing on post-communist transformation and European Union enlargement are of great political and economic significance and of paramount importance to all disciplines of social sciences. Note, however, that the curriculum for each semester is regularly enriched by the courses given by visiting professors. These courses are not presented in the catalogue.

The One Semester Abroad Students’ financial responsibilities towards Collegium Civitas consist in simply paying a regular Tuition Fee per semester (4400 PLN) - there is no application fee. These students do not receive a Collegium Civitas student ID or student book. At the end of their stay they will obtain an official Collegium Civitas transcript.
