On 5 July 2016 the results of the 6th edition of the All-Poland Certification of Higher Education Institutions—known as the Uczelnia Liderów (University of Leaders)—were announced. We have the pleasure to inform you that for the sixth time running Collegium Civitas has been awarded the Uczelnia Liderów Certificate. During this year’s gala ceremony, Dr Anna Siwek, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, received the Uczelnia Liderów Gold Certificate for the university.
Collegium Civitas was awarded the Uczelnia Liderów Certificate as part of the aforementioned certification programme for the period July 2016 to June 2017. Uczelnia Liderów quality certification is bestowed on higher education establishments that educate students in accordance with requirements of the labour market, are open to collaboration with their socio-economic environment, distinguish themselves in terms of innovative and modern courses, and provide the very highest level of education.
The Uczelnia Liderów Gold Certificate is a special distinction awarded to Collegium Civitas for obtaining a certificate for the sixth time, that is, in all editions of the programme since its inception.
Collegium Civitas also received a particular award, namely the Wyróżnienie Specjalne (Special Distinction) from the Board of the Foundation for the Development of Education and Higher Education. Distinctions are awarded to certified higher education institutions that have made the greatest progress in terms of innovation in education, support for practical education of students and collaboration with the socio-economic environment in the period since the previous, positively completed, certification from the Uczelnia Liderów programme.
University of Leaders is a programme created by the Foundation for the Development of Education and Higher Education. Higher education institutions face new challenges in today’s rapidly changing world. In particular, apart from the scientific and research dimensions of degrees, it is their value in terms of professional career utility that is crucial to students. Therefore, the objective of the University of Leaders programme is to distinguish those universities that exemplarily guarantee students the highest teaching standards in conjunction with the acquisition of knowledge and skills relevant to the needs and expectations of future employers.

Our efforts with respect to the practical nature of our degrees have been repeatedly recognized and appreciated. In the 2016 Perspektywy (Perpectives) ranking, we came 3rd in the category of internationalization among all universities in the country. Classes are taught by an international teaching cadre in the fields of diplomacy, management and media, as well as social and political analysis.
