Prof. Leszek Jesień holds habilitated Ph.D. in social studies from the Polish Academy of Sciences, and Ph.D. in political sciences from the Warsaw University. Associate Professor at the Collegium Civitas University and the head of the Institute of International Relations and Sustainable Development.

His interests include policies the European Union, in particular EU’s external affairs, energy and environment. Formerly, advisor for the EU affairs to three Polish prime ministers, as well as to the ministers: of economy and of environment, to the Chief Negotiator of Poland’s Accession to the EU, and to the European minister.
