Ms. Nili Amit is a graduate of Hebrew University in Jerusalem in English Literature and Political Science and served for many years as Deputy Dean for Administration at the Faculty of Exact Sciences at Tel-Aviv University. For the past nine academic  years Ms. Amit lectures in Polish and English, at the Historical Institute of  Warsaw University and Collegium Civitas on the subject of contemporary Israel. Her lectures and seminars were mostly centered on the issues of Israeli culture and identity. During those years she also delivered guest lectures in many other Polish universities, among them the Jagellionian University in Krakow, The Stefan Wyszynski University, Szkoła Główna Handlowa, Akademia Teologiczna, The Jan Pawel II University in Krakow etc. The subjects of her lectures include among others, such topics as: “, “Israel and the Holocaust”, “The Political aspects of Eichmann and Kastner Trials”. “Zionism as a Secular Religion”, “The Sabra- Quest for Israeli Identity”, “The Revival of the Hebrew Language”. Some lectures are accompanied by short excerpts from Israeli films. For the past nine years Ms. Amit is also the coordinator for Israel for the Museum of the History of Polish Jews, that opened in Warsaw in 2014. In this capacity she organizes academic conferences, Polish-Israeli youth and student exchanges, training of Israeli guides and documentation projects. Ms. Amit is the author of an autobiographical book “ I Should Have Been a Fairy Princess” , published in Poland in 2010.
