ADMISSIONS DEADLINE

Prospective students are admitted twice a year: during summer and winter admissions periods.

Winter intake 2018/2019 starts on November 6, 2018.

For international candidates the winter admissions deadline is December 20, 2018.

For the prospective students from the EU countries, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Island, Norway, Switzerland, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan the deadline is extended till January 25, 2019.

For Polish residents or foreigners who have been granted a residence permit to settle in Poland (Karta pobytu) the deadline is February 10, 2019.

 


ADMISSIONS PRECEDURE STEP BY STEP:

1. Fill in an online application form. Having completed the application process, you can log in to the system by providing your login and password. As your login, please use your candidate number that will be automatically generated by the system after the application process has been successfully completed. When you have submitted your application package you will be able to view the status of your application on-line using your registration number and password at any stage. Application Form

2. Prepare and submit your application.
You have to send it by a regular post or via email.

Admissions Office will confirm via email receiving an application.

3. Outcome of the assessment.
Within 5 days you will receive an information about outcome of the application (the decision will be available at Collegium Civitas on-line registration platform). Be informed that in special circumstances the assessment can takes longer than 5 days.

4. Payment of the entry and tuition fee.


5. Getting official Acceptance Letter.
As soon as we receive the payment we will issue the final Acceptance Letter.

 

6. Arrival to Warsaw.

 

7. Submission of documents. After coming to Warsaw, please bring the originals of application documents. The documents must be filed with the Admissions Office (room 1210).

 

8. Inauguration of the Academic Year.

 

International candidates

 

International candidates for Undergraduate and Graduate studies who need a visa to study in Poland are additionally required to make payment of tuition fee before we can issue acceptance letter necessary in the visa application process. In case the candidate is denied a visa, entry fee and tuition fee are returned. Application fee is non-refundable. International postgraduate candidates applying for Foreign Policy studies must obtain a visa before applying for postgraduate studies.

Candidates with Polish Diplomas

• Copy of Bachelor or Master’s Diploma
• Copy of ID (only the page(s) showing name, picture and passport number)
• Copy of a certificate of good health from your physician (only foreigners)
• Receipt/Confirmation of an Application fee payment
• Proof of English proficiency
• 2 passport photos

Candidates with International Diplomas

Candidates applying for Graduate (Master’s) Programmes in English are expected to afford the following documents:

• Completed Application Form – ON-LINE APPLICATION FORM (studies in English) ON-LINE APPLICATION FORM (studies in Polish-English)
• Copy of a High School Diploma
• Copy of a Bachelor’s or Master’s diploma
• Copy of a transcript of records
• Copy of a certified translation (into Polish or English) of your Bachelor’s or Master’s diploma and transcript of records
• Either legalisation of the Bachelor’s or Master’s diploma or an Apostille of it (for detailed information click here)
• Certificate stating that the submitted Bachelor diploma entitles the holder to apply for MA studies in a country of issuing (if there is no such a comment/line stating such an entitlement on the diploma/transcript).
• Copy of your passport or official ID (only the page(s) showing your name, picture and passport number)
• Copy of a certificate of good health from your physician (foreigners only)
• Receipt/Confirmation of an Application Fee payment (more details here)
• Proof of English Proficiency (see below)

Proof of English Proficiency

For international candidates:

1) Some candidates may be exempt from submitting their proofs of proficiency in English.

Candidates from the following countries are exempt from submitting their proofs of English Language Proficiency if their education has been through the medium of English: Australia, Canada, Gambia, Ghana, Ireland, Kenya, New Zealand, Nigeria, Tanzania, United Kingdom, United States, Zimbabwe.

2) All other international candidates are supposed to send the results of English language tests. International candidates whose first language is not English are required to present document evidencing English language proficiency:

Types of the documents evidencing English language proficiency

1. Degrees:
– in foreign languages philology or applied linguistics;
– awarded by Foreign Languages College for Teachers;2. Document issued abroad and evidencing the award of an academic degree or an academic title – acknowledged will be the language of instruction of the educational institution.3. Document evidencing a higher-education degree or a post-graduate diploma in respect of studies abroad or in the Republic of Poland – acknowledged will be the language of instruction, if the language of instruction was solely a foreign language.4. Document issued abroad and recognised as equivalent to the certificate of maturity (świadectwo dojrzałości) – acknowledged will be the language of instruction.5. International Baccalaureate Diploma.6. European Baccalaureate.7. London Tests of English, Level 4 (Edexcel Level 2 Certificate in ESOL International); London Tests of English, Level 5 (Edexcel Level 3 Certificate in ESOL International),

e) Education Development International (EDI), London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Examinations Board – in particular the following certificates: London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Examinations (LCCI) — English for Business Level 2, English for Business Level 3, English for Business Level 4; London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Examinations (LCCI) — Foundation Certificate for Teachers of Business English (FTBE); London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Examinations (LCCI) — English for Tourism Level 2 — “Pass with Credit” level, “Pass with Distinction” level,

f) University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, British Council, IDP IELTS Australia – in particular the following certificates: International English Language Testing System IELTS — above 6 points.

Certificates issued by Warsaw University; Warsaw University Coordination Council for Certification of Language Proficiency.

Prospective students from Poland do not have to send us any certificates of their command of the English language. The mark from a High School Diploma or an interview might suffice. For the international candidates the requirement is unambiguous: they have to send us some certificate of their knowledge of English unless they come from English-speaking countries.
