Programs, Fees, and Other Costs


SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM JUNE 1 - JULY 31

> internship placement process, internship monitoring and evaluation;
> individual tutorials (once a week meetings with the program director);
> optional Polish language course;
> cultural program;
> medical insurance coverage in Poland for the duration of the program;
> monthly public transportation passes in Warsaw;
> airport/train station pick up upon arrival in Warsaw;
> welcome package and a cell phone for the duration of the student’s stay;
> availability of the academic course (to earn 5 ECTS or 2.5 American credits)

The enrollment on the Academic Course (5 ECTS = 2.5 American credits) costs additional 600 USD.

The title of the 2010 Summer Internship Academic Course is "Cultural and Ethnic Diversity in East and Central Europe". Its syllabus will be available in March 2010.

The Polish language course (2 ECTS = 1 American credit) is optional/extra and with no additional costs.

Students are responsible for:
- housing - approx. $400-$600 per month. Students can also stay with their families/friends in Warsaw while participating in the program;
- food - approx. $400-$500 per month;
- airfare;
- miscellaneous personal expenses - approx. $500-$1000 (depending on individual needs and spending habits).


 

  Scholarship

Currently, no scholarship is available. Students who take at least 6 credit hours (12 ECTS) during the Civitas international professional internship program are usually eligible to apply for and receive financial aid from their universities. Students are encouraged to contact thier study abroad/financial aid offices to inquire about any available financial aid that can cover the program fee as well as look for other outside funds.


INTERNSHIPS DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR (FALL, WINTER AND SPRING SEMESTERS): Collegium Civitas also offers internship programs (with or without attending regular academic courses and earning credit hours and grades) during the academic year.
